Media Trip

Some of our media students went to see the famous journalist Anna Smith who is a film critic. She helped me with the production of my music magazine as her advice was to think of intriguing questions to ask my coverstar. However, since her experience with music magazines was very limited, she wasn't able to help me as much as I would've hoped.

Induction To The Studio

These are a few pictures taken from when we had our introduction to the studio by Scott. The pictures contain all of the equipment that we may need in our photoshoot for our magazines.

These are some of the lights that we may use such as the soft box and snoot lights. These helps us with the effect that we we want to achieve in our magazines depending on our genre.

This is a reflector which helps reflect the light to create a different tone in pictures. For example, in the image above, the gold reflector was used which created more of warm tone.

This is one of the DSLR cameras that we would be using in our photoshoots. This is so that our images are at the best possible quality that they can be.

My Music Magazine Name

For my music magazine I decided to look at synonyms for music in general. A lot came up with links to new music jargon but none of them seemed to appeal to me. I then decided to research more into R&B since that is the genre that I want my magazine to specialise in. From my research I have come to a final decision that I would like to make my magazine title 'Rhythm' as R&B stands for 'Rhythm & Blues'.
